Most of the stores moved to the new mall and the Myrtle Square Mall died about 2 years later. The company demolished the mall and its been an empty lot ever since, just 2 blocks from the beach.So we are very much beach people! We loved beach hopping around the island. All the beaches are open to the public in Aruba too so that was a huge perk. Rent a car, download offline maps of the whole island and go everywhere.
